THE WORKSHOP
In dance classes, choreography and technique will be taught. Workshop choreographies are set to various palos (song forms and rhythms). Choreographies are the original work of the artists/teachers, and students learn flamenco through the experience and unique abilities that these master artists/teachers bring to their work.
Workshops consist of six (6) hours of instruction over the course of seven (7) days, June 20-26. Instructors generally do not teach on the day of their scheduled performance.

About
Julia Acosta
Julia Acosta earned her degree in Spanish Dance at the Maribel Gallardo Professional Conservatory of Dance in Cádiz, the city where her vocation for dance was born. Her desire to grow led her to join the Centro Andaluz de Danza (CAD).
During those years, she was enriched by the teachings of great masters of flamenco and dance such as Farruquito, Rubén Olmo, Rocío Molina, Javier Latorre, Pilar Ogalla, Maribel Gallardo, Israel Galván, Jesús Carmona, Lola Greco, Manolo Marín, Javier Barón, and El Junco. Through this training, Acosta developed a solid foundation and a personal style that combines strength, technique, and sensitivity.
Her career has been marked by collaborations that demonstrate her versatility. One of her most notable moments was her participation in the closing performance of the 2012 Bienal de Sevilla, a tribute to Mario Maya that brought together renowned figures of flamenco.She has also shared the stage in productions by highly respected artists such as Rubén Olmo and María José Franco.
Julia Acosta’s career also includes teaching. She has worked as a Classical Dance instructor at the Pas de Deux School in Sevilla. This facet of her work demonstrates her commitment to training new generations and to the dissemination of flamenco culture and Spanish dance.
