National Institute of flamenco

The National Institute of Flamenco Founding Director Eva Encinias established Festival Flamenco Alburquerque in 1987. First conceived as a celebration of the University of New Mexico’s College of Fine Arts’ 50th Anniversary, the Festival has since grown to be one of the world’s most important flamenco events and the flagship program of the National Institute of Flamenco.
