The Workshop
Students will learn various guitar techniques and studies appropriate to the workshop level.
Workshops consist of six (6) hours of instruction over the course of seven (7) days, June 21-27. Instructors generally do not teach on the day of their scheduled performance. Jesús Rodriguez will not teach on June 21.

Jesús Rodriguez
Jesús Rodríguez, a renowned flamenco guitarist from Mairena del Alcor, Sevilla, has been immersed in the world of flamenco since childhood, influenced by his family’s deep connection to the art form. At 14, he began his formal guitar studies at La Casa del Arte Flamenco Antonio Mairena, performing alongside El Niño Elías, which helped shape his classical style.
He further honed his skills at La Fundación Cristina Heeren del Arte Flamenco, where he studied under maestros such as Pedro Sánchez, Eduardo Rebollar, and Rafael Riqueni. Throughout his career, Jesús has collaborated with esteemed flamenco artists, including Pilar Ríos, Laura Vital, Luisa Palicio, Manuel Romero “El Cotorro,” and Juan Pinilla, gaining recognition for his expressive and technically refined performances.
Currently, Jesús is a guitarist with the prestigious Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía under the artistic direction of Patricia Guerrero. His role in the company has brought him to national and international stages, contributing to their acclaimed productions and reaffirming his status as a key figure in contemporary flamenco.
In addition to his work with the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, Jesús performs at venues like La Casa del Flamenco in Sevilla, where his artistry continues to captivate audiences and showcase the richness of flamenco tradition. His dedication to the art of flamenco makes him a significant contributor to its preservation and evolution.
