About

The Workshop

This technique class examines the placement and execution of correct castanet work. Technique classes provide the student with skills necessary to learn choreography. Exercises will be given to develop articulation, coordination, speed, and musicality. Castanets will be available for purchase.

Choreographies and studies are the original work of the artists/teachers, and students learn flamenco through the experience and unique abilities that these master artists/teachers bring to their work.

Workshops consist of six (6) hours of instruction over the course of seven (6) days, June 21-27. Instructors generally do not teach on the day of their scheduled performance. Carlos Menchaca will not teach on June 27.
