Paco iglesias

Paco Iglesias, born in Sevilla, is a distinguished flamenco guitarist known for his virtuosity and deep connection to the traditional art of flamenco guitar. A grandnephew of Melchor de Marchena, one of flamenco’s most iconic figures, Paco began his guitar studies at the age of 9, inspired by his older brothers, Miguel and Eugenio Iglesias, both renowned guitarists.

Throughout his career, Paco has collaborated with prestigious flamenco dance companies. In 1996, he joined Manuela Carrasco’s company, and in 1997, became part of the Ballet Flamenco de Andalucía, participating in the production Golpes de la Vida. In 2000, he worked with Cristina Hoyos’ company, performing in shows such as Al Compás and Tierra Adentro. His journey continued in 2004 with Antonio Canales, touring internationally with productions like Bailaor, Bohemio, Ojos Verdes, and Sangre de Edipo.

In addition to his work with dance companies, Paco Iglesias has built a solid career as an accompanist in renowned tablaos and flamenco festivals, earning widespread respect in the contemporary flamenco scene.

Currently, Paco is part of the ensemble at La Casa del Flamenco in Sevilla, where he continues to share his artistry with audiences, preserving the flamenco tradition while bringing his unique style to every performance.
