About

The SHOW

Muy Especial is the result of La Moneta’s ongoing reflection on flamenco, presented in a minimal format. Through a staging approach that forgoes theatrical machinery, she evokes the essential elements of her dance language.

The Granada-born dancer reveals her spiritual ideal by weaving dance with music and singing. It is an instinctive search where the living relationship with her stage companions transforms performances into a source of aesthetic emotions that evoke the essence of “Jondo.”

Learn More About

Fuensanta “La Moneta”

Fuensanta “La Moneta” was born in Granada in 1984 and discovered her passion for flamenco dance at an early age. Her innate talent and dedication to the art made her a sought-after performer in the famous zambras of Sacromonte and Granada’s tablaos while still a child. During this time, she also appeared in galas organized by radio and TV networks, earning several notable awards. She balanced her studies with performing to finance her dance training under renowned maestros, including Mariquilla, Javier Latorre, Mario Maya, Carmen Cortés, Matilde Coral, Israel Galván, and others.

At the age of 16, La Moneta made her Madrid debut at the Sala Suristán, leaving critics and audiences convinced they were witnessing a future flamenco star. Alma 100 magazine featured her on its cover, naming her the most prominent bailaora born in the 1980s.

Since then, La Moneta has performed in prestigious flamenco peñas, international festivals, and theaters across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. She was part of Javier Latorre’s company in the flamenco ballets Triana, en el nombre de la Rosa and Rinconete y Cortadillo. She also participated in Homenaje a Fosforito at the Concurso Nacional de Córdoba and appeared in Álvaro Begines’s film Por qué se frotan las patitas.

Known for her captivating expressiveness and mastery of flamenco’s essence, Fuensanta La Moneta continues to inspire audiences worldwide, bridging tradition with innovation in every performance.
